Findbar Basics 1.2.06
http://www.tom-cat.com/mozilla/extensions.html
I use this all the time. It’s a great extension that toggles the Find status bar on/off so you don’t have to click Edit and scroll to “Find in this page” every time. You can even program a Function key to Toggle it on/off so you can find a word in a web page really fast just by hitting that key.

More info:
The Findbar Basics extension adds four basic features to Firefox's Find Toolbar:
 a Statusbar button that opens the Find Toolbar.
 a Clear button inside the Find Toolbar for clearing all text from the input box.
 an optional toolbar button that toggles the Find Toolbar on and off. You can place this button anywhere you like by dragging it from the Customize Toolbar window.
 Ctrl-F key command to toggle the Find Toolbar on and off.

Answers.com for Firefox
http://www.answers.com/main/firefox_plugins.jsp
I only just installed this recently but it seems pretty useful. Basically you can open Answer.com online dictionary by holding down Alt and clicking on any word on in a web page to find the definition and references to that word.

Adblock
http://homepage.mac.com/rue/mirror/adblock-05-dev.xpi
Pop-up and web page blocker.
You can block images, whole web pages or use the filter function with the right click menu.

Image Zoom
http://imagezoom.yellowgorilla.net/
Zoom in or out on a web page

IE view
http://ieview.mozdev.org/
If you want to view a page in Explorer, just right click and select “View this page in explorer” to open it with that browser.

Forecastfox
http://forecastfox.mozdev.org/
Time for a break and a relaxing stroll. This creates a weather station toolbar for your browser so you’ll always know whether it’s rain or shine. Current temperature, wind, rain, forecast for tomorrow, and next days for your own location.

Have fun, and feel free to add your own.

in tools/extensions

pick the one you want to unistall and click "uninstall"

besides, many of proposed extensions are reduntant. Like zooming can be achieved with a mouse scroll, quick finding of words is an inherent feature of Firefox, if you configure it properly, the browser will start serching just on typing a word.

Hi Mike,
I posted an answer to this last night but it must have been lost during the crash.
Yep, as Piotr says click on Tools/Extensions, select the one you want to remove and click uninstall.

Piotr I agree that there are some of these functions included in the browser. You can zoom the page with the mouse wheel holding down Ctrl, and use the word search bar by clicking in the web page and starting typing, but I find the extensions give you more options. The mouse wheel

Piotr I agree that there are some of these functions included in the browser. You can zoom the page with the mouse wheel holding down Ctrl, and use the word search bar by clicking in the web page and starting typing, but I find the extensions give you more options. The mouse wheel zoom can be a bit imprecise and the Find Bar lets you highlight the words you’re looking for and things like that.
All the best.
