One of the positive changes that were announced ahead of that is that the recognition authority will accept "simple copies" (i.e. PDF files) of qualification documents, as opposed to previously when only authenticated copies done by a German authority were accepted.
This sounds positive at first, however, the current status is that what will remain unchanged is the fact that authenticated translations done by a translator sworn before a German court will still need to be submitted, and the exact wording is that the originals still need to be submitted to said sworn translator.
For the the most part, a simple copy is sufficient (if the authenticity of documents has to be confirmed, a color copy will be required). Only in cases of doubt must documents be presented in the original. For translations, the original / a certified copy must still be presented to the interpreter [sic] .
Basically, this means no factual change for nurses coming from Third countries, they sill need to supply originals or Embassy copies to somebody in Germany.
However, what does change is that the recognition office no longer assumes any responsibility for the process itself. In my experience, this is a typical move on behalf of a German authority, whose employees are pretty much always frightened to end up authenticating a falsified or manipulated, original document.
In the very least, I feel it is to be recommended to translators who don't already do so, to be 100% explicitly clear about indicating the nature of the original that was submitted.

ich bin im Bereich des Integrationsmanagements von Fachkräften tätig. Wie einige von euch vielleicht wissen, beabsichtigt Bayern ab 1. Juli die Anerkennung von Gesundheitsberufen bei der Bayerischen LfP in Amberg zu konsolidieren.
Eine der positiven Änderungen, die im Vorfeld angekündigt wurden, ist, dass die Anerkennungsbehörde "einfache Kopien" (d.h. PDF-Dateien) von Qualifikationsdokumenten akzeptieren wird, während bisher nur beglaubigte Kopien von einer deutschen Behörde akzeptiert wurden.
Das hört sich zunächst positiv an, doch nach derzeitigem Stand bleibt es dabei, dass beglaubigte Übersetzungen, die von einem vor einem deutschen Gericht vereidigten Übersetzer angefertigt wurden, nach wie vor vorgelegt werden müssen, und der genaue Wortlaut lautet, dass die Originale nach wie vor dem "Dolmetscher" (/ besagten bestallten Übersetzer) vorgelegt werden müssen.
Größtenteils einfache Kopie ausreichend (soweit bei Dokumenten die Echtheit geprüft werden soll, wird eine Farbkopie verlangt). Nur bei Zweifelsfällen müssen Dokumente im Original vorgelegt werden. Für Übersetzungen ist dem Dolmetscher [sic] weiterhin das Original / eine beglaubigte Kopie vorzulegen.
Für Krankenschwestern und Krankenpfleger aus Drittstaaten ändert sich also nichts, sie müssen nach wie vor Originale oder Botschaftskopien an jemanden in Deutschland schicken.
Was sich jedoch ändert, ist, dass die Anerkennungsstelle nicht mehr die Verantwortung für das Verfahren selbst übernimmt. Meiner Erfahrung nach ist dies ein typisches Vorgehen einer deutschen Behörde, deren Mitarbeiter so gut wie immer Angst haben, am Ende ein gefälschtes oder manipuliertes Originaldokument zu beglaubigen.
Zumindest ist es meines Erachtens für Übersetzer, die dies noch nicht tun, empfehlenswert, die Art des vorgelegten Originals zu 100 % explizit zu kennzeichnen.
