Which are these 2 languages from Ethiopia?

Hello,

Here is another language nut to crack:

The news site of the Ethiopian Press Agency (https://press.et/) is offered in English and various Ethiopian languages, each one in a separate section. I am trying to figure out which languages they are.

Here is another language nut to crack:

The news site of the Ethiopian Press Agency (https://press.et/) is offered in English and various Ethiopian languages, each one in a separate section. I am trying to figure out which languages they are.

The different languages are listed in the main language navigation menu at the top left corner (to the left of the "Jobs" section).

The sections whose languages I have already identified are these:

A1 - https://press.et/ - AMHARIC (the official language spoken by most first and second language speakers, written in the Ge'ez script)

A2 - https://press.et/herald/ - ENGLISH

A3 - https://press.et/oromifa/ - OROMO AFAAN (the official language spoken by most first language speakers)

A4 - https://press.et/arabic/ - ARABIC

A5 - https://press.et/wegahta/ - TIGRINYA (the 4th largest language, also written in Ge'ez script)

However, there are 2 language sections whose languages I have not yet identifed with certainty:

B1 - https://press.et/bakalcho/ - This is written in Latin script. Is it perhaps Somali, which is spoken by 6.2% of the population? Google Translate (GT) thinks it is Oromo but is unable to provide a meaningful translation.

Here is a sample: "Barete leelle fanote hasaawa assinohu biirote sooreessi kalaa Gosaye Godaanihu, konni albaanni bandoonni Industirete hiiqqamme sissate baxxino illacha tunge loonsanni hee’noonnita xawisino. Qoqqowu giddo deerru deerrunku afantanno laashshaano Industirrara woxu liqoo injo qineessatenninna shiqishatenni horaameeyye assa dandiinoonnitano xawisino."

B2 - https://press.et/zemen/ - This is written in Ge'ez script. GT thinks it is Amharic, and does provide a reasonable translation, and it seems the Ethiopian Press Agency does have an Amharic-language newspaper called Addis Zemen (see e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Addis_Zemen_(newspaper) ). However, I would prefer to have the language confirmed by someone if possible.

Here is a sample: "የስፖርት ማዘውተሪያ ሥፍራዎችን በየአከባቢው በማስፋፋት እእምሮው የበለጸገ ጤናው የተጠበቀ ዜጋን ማፍራት ሀገራት የሚጋሩት ዓለም አቀፍ ግብ ነው። የኢትዮጵያ ስፖርት ፖሊሲ ማንኛውም ማኅበረሰብ በሚኖርበት፣ በሚማርበት እና በሚሠራበት አከባቢ የአካል ብቃት እንቅስቃሴ በማድረግ ጤናማ እና አምራች ዜጋ እንዲሆን መሥራት እንዳለበት በግልፅ ያስቀምጣል። ይህን ታላቅ ሀገራዊ ፖሊሲ ለማሳካትና ስፖርትን ባህል ለማድረግ ከሚያስፈልጉ መሠረታዊ ነገሮች መካከል ዋነኛው የስፖርት ማዘውተሪያ ሥፍራ ነው።"

ChatGPT thinks the first is Afan Oromo and translates it as:

However, there are challenges such as lack of infrastructure and access to markets that hinder the progress of industries. Please note that this is a basic translation and may not capture all nuances of the original text.


As for the second language, it thinks it is Amharic, translating it to
"The management of sport facilities is improved through modernization in the current administration. Effective management of these facilities is crucial for the development of sports."
