Hi, I just cleaned a Word (2002) file with Trados (6.5) as usual and wanted to check something in the BAK-file, which is normally uncleaned. As I opened the file, it was all cleaned (only the headers were'nt). It's a fully "normal" file, and I never encountered this problem. I'm assumed to deliver an uncleaned file. Any hint?
Thanks! Sylvain

afficher le texte masqué

Maybe your BAK-File is not cleaned, but just the source text hidden. To show the hidden source text go to "Outils", then "Options" and in the area "Affichage" make sure "Texte masqué"/"Tous" is ticked.

Re-translate it from the TM

Hi! It's all in the TM, isn't it? So take the source file and translate it using the translate function in Workbench.
By the way, you do have "hidden text" visible for the /bak file, right?

Hi Gillian,
Thank you, this what I have done. My new bak-file has remained uncleaned this time, so it's still a mystery. And yes, hidden text is visible.
Have a nice day! Sylvain

You cleaned it up 2 times, so the back file was a copy of the already cleaned file.
