I've been
translating for years in various fields (technical translations, medicine,
medical reports, medical equipment, household appliances, civil engineering,
industrial machines, marketing, automobile industry, contracts, business
correspondence, corporative communications etc.). During this period, I gained a
lot of experience, collected a rich personal library of specialized dictionaries
and reference work and got to know many experts in various fields that help me
with the terminology if needed.

Since one of
my major goals is to offer high
quality translations, I participate regularly in various seminars and
trainings for translators and proofreaders (proofreading into Croatian
language, various specific linguistic fields in German/Italian/English), as
well as in professional (interpreting –simultaneous/consecutive, subtitling)
and computer skills trainings (DTP, CAT-tools etc.).

with lots of interests, I have a solid language basis in various fields so

I'm also
very involved in promoting
and strengthening the position of Court Interpreters in
Croatia within the Association of Court Interpreters and Translators (ACIT) in
Croatia (Društvo sudskih tumača i prevoditelja) and the Translators and
Interpreters Interest Community with the

Croatian Chamber of Commerce (Zajednica za prevoditeljstvo pri HGK). In both
associations, I volunteer in
several working parties striving for goal of the profession.

In the spring of 2018, after having participated in numerous seminars,
events, round table discussions and carefully studied the GDPR, I initiated the topic of the GDPR
within the Translators and Interpreters Interest Community with the Croatian
Chamber of Commerce. After the initial presentation of the GDPR, some colleagues
joined me and helped me draw up GDPR Guidelines for freelance translators.

We are very proud of the fact that we were one
of the first professional associations to assist their members with the GDRP in
Croatia. We are also very proud that the Guidelines still are very up-to-date,
even if they were drawn up in the turbulent times, when there was no experience
and no well-established practice in this field.
