Is there any way to compact SDLX TM?

Hi all,

I would greatly appreciate any advice on the following issue: I am working on a large project using SDLX 2003 (together with my colleague), and after we translated just about 20,000 words, my TM is 108 MB in size. There are about 80,000 words more to translate, so I am afraid I'll have a big problem ahead quite soon.
Can anybody help me out with this?

Maybe, it happens because I modify and re-confirm a lot of my translations (and also those of my colleague)? The compressed size of TM, when zipped, is below 2 MB. Is there any way to 'compact' it, but still be able to use it, similar to "Compact Folders" function in Netscape Mail?

Hi Oleg

yes you can compact your TM and considerably reduce its size: launch SDLX, select Maintain, open the TM you want to compact then select Tools>Utilities>Compact Translation Memory.
Follow the on-screen instructions and there you go!
