Thanks Mats Jan 13, 2002

for reminding me of the existence of Eurodicautom.

I have used Eurodicautom a lot quite a while ago, but for some strange reason I forgot about it.

Why do they keep moving? Jan 13, 2002

Thanks Mats for the new URL which in contrast to many other recent suggestions actually works!

Can anybody explain why Eurodicautom changes sites so often and mostly without notice?

What's new Jan 13, 2002

Here is the link explaining why they do it:

It doesn't explain why they do it. Jan 14, 2002

I checked out .../whatsnew.jsp. It doesn\'t mention anything about the various addresses.

What they\'re doing, what computer, or even where the computer is has no bearing on the URL. That\'s supposed to be the whole point of using a URL (the addresses with words) where it doesn\'t matter where the computer is located as opposed to using location identifiers (like 234.345.345.765) for which it does (the location identifier points to a specific machine).

thank you! Jan 14, 2002

I was one of those who had lost track of Eurodicautom...

Although I don\'t use it that much it is certainly good to know where they are...just in case everything else fails...so thank you Mats!

Gruss

Elisa

Just another URL Jan 14, 2002

Dear collegues,

Eurodicautom changed its interface in november 2001, in order to get it more userfriendly i guess. Personnaly i prefered the first version which was more customizable. For those who prefered the old interface, you can get it at :

Thank you for the info! Jan 15, 2002

Hello Mats,

Thank you so much for taking the time to keep all of us informed. I\'ve been going crazy trying to find out what was wrong with the link. I shortened it, looked for it in Yahoo and other search engines and in all cases except of course in your message, everyone has the old link. I use that dictionary all the time. Thanks a million!
